Daryl Permenter – Pastor
Pastor Daryl has served the Lord and the church for over 30 years, beginning ministry as an Assistant Pastor at the Aloma Baptist Church in Winter Park, Florida. A native of Memphis and a graduate of Criswell College, he was called to FBC Geneva as Pastor in 1991.
Pastor Daryl’s preaching is marked by an unwavering commitment to the faithful exposition of the Scriptures. Daryl has been married to Linda for 44 years and they have 2 sons, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mike Johnson – Assistant Pastor
Mike came to faith in Christ through the youth ministry of FBC. Later, he was sent out as a missionary through New Tribes Mission to Siberia where he and his wife, Maya, served for 7 years. Since returning from the field in June, 2008, Mike has served the church as an Assistant Pastor. His duties include teaching, preaching, pastoral care, office administration and assisting the Pastor. Mike received specialized missionary training through New Tribes Institute (B.A., Intercultural Ministries), and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Rice Seminary. Mike & Maya have three small children.

Dana Denson – Worship & Praise Team Leader
Dana, his wife of 25 years, Edie, and his four children are all natives of Mississippi. They have lived in the Sunshine State since 1995. He has served in the music ministry of several churches in Mississippi and Florida since 1982. During the week, Dana is an aquatic biologist with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in Orlando. At FBC Geneva, Dana’s area of ministry is preparing and leading the worship for all the services of the church.

Shay Handy – Youth Leader
Shay was born in Michigan and raised in the Air Force living in multiple locations including California, Nebraska, Okinawa, Japan and Ohio. He started working with youth ministry in 1994 at Trinity Baptist Church in Apopka. He later became the Youth Leader at Wekiwa Springs Baptist Church in Apopka. Currently Shay serves as the Youth Leader at FBC Geneva, overseeing all winter and summer mission camps, and the weekly youth meetings.

Carol Lightner – Secretary
Carol came to Christ as a teenager through the ministry of FBC Geneva. She has worked in administrative roles since entering the workforce in 1995. Carol joined the staff in 2008, and works hard to keep things running smoothly in the church office. In her free time, Carol enjoys spending time with Jeremy, her husband of 13 years, and their daughter, Emily.

Lisa Albert – Treasurer
Lisa has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Geneva for 17 years, and a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ since she was 24. She is a homeschooling mother of two (though one is now in college).
Besides keeping the books for the church, Lisa serves as an A/V tech for Sunday services and an administrative assistant in the office.

Steven Kuda - Deacon
Steven and his wife, Julie, have had the privilege of serving our Lord here in Geneva for over 15 years. Steven is a Deacon, Sunday school teacher and finance committee chairman. Steven is a licensed photogrammetric surveyor and Senior Vice President with Aerial Cartographics of America Inc. The Lord has blessed Steven and Julie with a wonderful son Derek and daughter-in-law Jessica.

Keith Stephens - Deacon
Keith has been a member of the First Baptist Church since 2000. In addition to his Deacon responsibilities, Keith also serves as a Geneva Men for Christ leader and a Sunday Bible Study teacher. Keith is the president of Diversified Imaging in Orlando. He and his wife, Jennifer, have five children.

Fred Williams - Deacon (Chairman of the Deacons)
Fred and his wife, Sarah, have lived in Geneva and served at the FBC for the past 20 years. They have two sons who attend the University of Central Florida. Fred is a bond servant to Jesus Christ, Deacon and GMC leader. Fred has been a self-employed handyman for over 18 years.
