Dear Church Family,

I’m little late writing this week, and this will be brief. I said on Sunday I would write something about mothers this week.

So I have just three thoughts…

I’ve said to you many times that what you do speaks more clearly to children than anything you could ever teach them, and I think most would agree.

I think that a mother, and all of us for that matter, should have a CLEAN mouth. Eph.4:29 “Let no unwholesome word proceed from you mouth, BUT only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear.”

The “but” in this verse could read “instead.” Well that’s what should cause us to think before we speak. As for me, I usually speak and then think, bad habit!

I would say that no one needs grace more than our children. So, my point is to think about how we could speak in such a manner that it gives more GRACE to the ones hearing.

The next thought has to do with the mind. Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of MIND let each of you regard one another as more important than himself.”

Our problem begins with the mind. If we think first, as I said already, with HUMILITY of mind then we will put others first, especially our children.

Scripture says, “…God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6

Last thought is about a clear conscience. The writer of Hebrews said, “Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things. Heb.13:8

My point here is that a mother should be forgiven and forgiving. If one does not clear their conscience, it will at some point in life bring about bitterness. Bitterness will not only damage the one that is bitter, but it will also damage those around them.

Children will SEE that in your life and learn it from you.

So, have a Clean Mouth, a Clean Mind, and a Clear Conscience.

Hey, good for all of us!!!!!

Pastor Daryl

Dear Church Family,

You did a great job with what (I) think is the most important verse in the Bible. All verses are important, and you named some. The verse I have in mind is one that I think the whole of the Bible hinges on. If we remove the verse I have in mind, then all the others lose their significance. This one verse changes one’s world view, and if it is not true, nothing else matters! If you believe this one verse you can establish all the truth of the rest of the Bible.

If you choose not to believe this verse, and it is a choice, the world view you choose is as good or bad as anyone else has. When one chooses to ignore this verse, then one is free to do as he or she jolly well pleases. When this verse is ignored, mankind becomes no better than my dog.

Now I love my dog, and he love me, sometimes it seems he is the only one that does. That’s a joke just in case you didn’t get it. However, he never prays over his food, he never thinks any kind of physical relationship is wrong, or for that matter anything he can get away with would be wrong.

I also have a horse, well, some horses, but one stallion I have only has two things on his mind food and you know the other. As to the other, he doesn’t care who it is, as long as it is a horse, pretty, ugly, nice, old, young, and in some cases male or female!

Now he is the way God made him, no morals.

We, on the other hand were made with morals. They are built in, Romans 2:14 “For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do INSTINCTIVELY the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, v.15 in that they show the work of the Law written in their HEARTS, their CONSCIENCE bearing witness, and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, v.16 on the day when according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.” If you did not notice, this is one sentence. The caps are mine.

Now, we are different than my dog and stallion; God has written His Law in our hearts. WE KNOW BETTER!

But, we can sear our conscience to the point where what is wrong seems right, and what is right seems wrong.

If murder is wrong, why?
If stealing is wrong, why?
Where do we get the idea that anything that we want to do is okay? We have to create our own god to meet the needs of our conscience.

Well, I cannot go on and on, the most important verse in the Bible is Genesis 1:1. If this verse is true, and I believe it is, then we are accountable to a Holy God, and if He can create everything that is in six days, and send Jesus to die for us, then we must receive Him or be forever in our sins.

It is our choice! Adam and Eve chose wrong. Will You?

By the way, I do not believe there is any distance between Gen.1:1 and Gen.1:2. I believe in six 24 hour days! if you believe the days were longer than 24 hour each, you have to get that from somewhere other than the Bible.

In His Service With You,
Pastor Daryl

Dear Church Family,

I left you hanging last week with King Solomon failing to find peace the world’s way.

This week I want to share how to find peace. I said last week you only have to look in one place for peace, and that place is a person, Jesus.

His method is TRANSFORMATION which will leave you completely satisfied in this life and the next.

Peace through Jesus is a spiritual transformation. Jesus told Nicodemus that he had to be born again. “…truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 Well, we all know this is true, but what we often do is act upon that information and settle where we will spend eternity, but LIVE like it is not true.

Jesus said, …I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly.” If this is true, then why do we look for peace in all the wrong places?

I submit to you that we are still caught up in trying to live like the world says we should. The world says we change from the outside in. That is the things on our outside will give us peace on the inside. The truth is that we only find real peace when we change from the inside out. Jeremiah says, “The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick” The only cure is Jesus!

When we have a spiritual transformation, we receive Forgiveness of ALL our sins Ephesians 1:7, Love 1 John 4:16, Peace 2 Thess.3:16, Joy Gal.5:22 and Heaven. Rev.21:1-6

Now, let me be fast to say that does not mean we will not have trouble in this life; we will. The Bible says we will have Trials, Persecution, and Tribulation, BUT, WHEN WE HAVE REAL PEACE, WE CAN GO THROUGH THESE THINGS. King Solomon said, “I hate life” well, that’s because he was looking for peace in all the wrong places.

Jesus said drink from his well and never be thirsty again!!!!!!!!

God Bless You,
Pastor Daryl
