Activities- In addition to offering Ladies Bible Studies each spring and fall, the Ministry for Women at First Baptist Church of Geneva also hosts an annual Winter Bonfire for women and teen girls with special music, touching testimonies, wonderful food and great fellowship. An annual Ladies Brunch with a special guest speaker is also now offered each summer and is held in the church’s Fellowship Hall. Words are powerful - they can encourage and strengthen others, heal wounded hearts, honor God, and bring Him great delight, but words can also be destructive. An unruly tongue can cause great pain and havoc, damaging lives, and grieving the heart of God. The good news is that our tongues can be transformed by the grace of God and the power of His Spirit. In this five-week devotional study by Nancy Leigh DeMoss, you'll discover the connection between your heart and your words. You will be challenged to examine your heart and to consider the consequences of your words, and you'll gain practical insight on "tongue control" from the Word of God.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21
